I moved around a lot as a kid so making friends was not every easy. It came to a point where I would not reach out to anyone because, MEH, I was leaving soon anyway.
BUT
I have been blessed with some really great friendships. My oldest friendship is with my girl from birth "Mars". She is a year younger than me and our parents have been friends since they were teenagers. No matter where we have moved in the world( her family has moved as much as mine) we have been blessed to stay in contact with one another. It has been a great journey.
As a child I was bullied a lot. It started as early as pre school. Mars was my defender back then and I was devastated when I found out she was moving. It was awesome when we got to our new location to find out her family was already there...we were not at the same school but there was a comfort knowing she was near.
Any way. It has been 27 years of friendship. No matter where on the globe we are, I know that we are always connected through the bond of friendship. We may not speak for weeks, we may not see one another for years. That does not matter because when we do meet up, it is like we have not parted
My friendship with Mars reminds me of another friendship. A special friendship, the ultimate friendship. My relationship with my Heavenly Father. This one is a daily walk though. He has been my one defender from even before time began. It is sooo trippy to even think that way. He has never left me, he a s true gentleman and is honestly concerned about my well being. No matter how far I stray, He always lets me know that He will never leave me. JC is amazing and authentic. The truest friend one can ever have!
